SPIN ME ROUND Original Canvas Painting

‘You spin me right round baby right round, like a record baby right round, round round…’

 

This artwork was inspired after I spotted the face of a very sexy DJ in a magazine. At the time, I was obsessed with circles, and metallic paints and had been reliving my youth listening to 80’s music. With the hit 'You Spin Me Round' by Dead or Alive on high rotation, this painting was thus born. Not long after emerging into the world in 2010, this artwork became one of 40 finalists in the prestigious Sunshine Coast Art Prize at the Caloundra Regional Gallery. It's an understatment to say I was most deinfitely in a spin!
